The Millennium Daycare Center strives to provide the best childcare
possible to Chinatown and its neighboring communities. The founder
believes that age and culturally sensitive care and stress of parent
participation provide the best foundation for quality daycare.
The daycare center will operate under the following principles:
· High standard of discipline for both teachers and children:
promptness, politeness, kindness, and honesty will be demanded
· Age-appropriate care: design program to suit each age/child's
nutritional, learning, and care needs
· Parent participation will be stressed
· Integrate childcare and family care: provide current family
health information and help families integrate into mainstream culture,
especially for immigrant families.
· Open to client, family, and community feedback
· No capital or verbal punishment; use time-out for reflection
· Provide good service to an low-income community; promote
racial harmony
Any method that employs shame or punishment is forbidden at
our center.
