Millennium Day-Care

Center Operation

Arrival

The center opens at 8:00 a.m. Parents are expected to take their children into the classroom and put their things in their cubbies. We ask all parents to sign their children in on the clipboard at the front desk. Each classroom teacher will take class attendance at 9:30 a.m. every day. This guarantees accurate count of children when they are removed from the building in the event of emergency evacuation or disaster.

Breakfast begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 9:30 a.m. Children begin daily activities or going to a planned field trip. Please bring your child in time to eat. We don't want any child to start the day without breakfast.

Each classroom is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. Children will not be accepted past 9:30 a.m. without approval from the Director. This will be granted whenever the classroom is able to accept a late child without disruption of the classroom schedule and when there is a legitimate reason for the child arriving late.

We would like to ask parents to cooperate with the following guidelines:
  • Settle your child in his/her classroom by 9:30 a.m. everyday.
  • When your child is absent, call the center to notify the teacher of the absence.
  • Check ahead to see if the center can receive your late child. In some instances of lateness, you will be asked to find alternative care for the day.

Exceptions will be made for unusual traffic patterns, MBTA conditions or poor weather.
